“Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.”
— Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
DEVOTIONAL
There’s something about light that changes everything. It doesn’t remove the path—it reveals it. What once felt uncertain suddenly becomes clear enough to take the next step.
Standing here, you can see where you’re going, but not every detail of the journey ahead. And that’s often how God works in our lives. He doesn’t always show us the entire path at once—He gives us just enough light for the step in front of us.
That can feel frustrating. We want clarity, certainty, and a full picture before we move. But God calls us to something different—trust in the process, not just the outcome.
The light in this moment doesn’t reach all the way to the horizon, but it doesn’t need to. It’s enough for where you are right now.
And that’s all you need.
REFLECTION
Where in your life are you waiting for full clarity before taking a step forward?
Are you trusting God to guide your next step, even if you can’t see the entire path?
What is one step you feel God leading you to take right now?
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for guiding me, even when I can’t see the full path ahead. Help me trust the light You’ve given me for today. Give me the courage to take the next step, knowing You are leading me forward. Amen.
You don’t need the whole path—just enough light for the next step.
