“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

DEVOTIONAL

Some paths aren’t wide or obvious. They wind, narrow, and disappear around corners. You can’t see where they end—you can only see the next few steps.

That’s what faith often feels like.

Standing here, the trail doesn’t show you the whole journey. It simply invites you forward. One step, then another. You trust that it leads somewhere, even though you can’t see it yet.

Life works the same way. We want clarity before movement. We want to understand everything before we commit. But God calls us to something deeper—trust before understanding.

Following Him doesn’t always mean having a clear, open road. Sometimes it means staying on a narrow path, even when it feels uncertain, because you trust the One who laid it out.

You don’t need to see where it ends. You just need to keep walking.

REFLECTION

Where in your life does the path feel unclear or uncertain right now?

Are you waiting for full understanding before taking a step forward?

What is one step you can take today in trust, even without having all the answers?

PRAYER

Lord, help me trust You even when I can’t see the full path ahead. When I feel uncertain, remind me that You are guiding every step. Give me the courage to keep moving forward, even when the way isn’t completely clear. Amen.

The path may not be clear—but the One leading you is.
