“The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.”

“The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.”
— Isaiah 60:19 (NIV)

DEVOTIONAL

The light settles gently across the mountain.

It doesn’t overwhelm. It doesn’t rush. It simply rests there—steady, warm, and constant.

There’s something reassuring about that kind of light.

It doesn’t demand attention, yet it changes everything it touches.

Life isn’t always like that.

There are seasons that feel uncertain, where clarity fades and direction isn’t always obvious. It’s easy to look for quick answers or immediate change.

But God’s presence often works more like this light.

Steady.

Consistent.

Faithful.

Even when things feel unclear, He is still covering what you can’t see. Still working in ways that don’t always feel obvious in the moment.

You don’t have to rush ahead to find your way.

You don’t have to force clarity before it comes.

You can trust the light you’ve been given.

Step by step.

Moment by moment.

Because God isn’t distant.

He’s right there—steady, constant, and unchanging.

REFLECTION

Where in your life are you feeling uncertain or unsure of the next step?

How have you seen God remain steady, even when your circumstances have changed?

What would it look like to trust His timing instead of rushing ahead?

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for being steady in every season. When life feels uncertain, help me trust that You are still guiding me. Give me peace in the process and confidence in Your timing. Remind me that Your presence is constant, even when I don’t fully understand what’s ahead. Amen.

God’s light may feel quiet—but it never stops working.
