Even when the mountain is covered and the path ahead feels unclear, God is still working in His perfect timing.

“Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
— Habakkuk 2:3 (NIV)

DEVOTIONAL

Some days feel clear and open. Other days feel covered in clouds.

Looking at a mountain hidden beneath low clouds can feel frustrating because you know something greater is there, but you cannot fully see it. Life often feels the same way. You pray, wait, hope, and wonder when things will finally become clear.

Habakkuk reminds us that God’s plans are not absent simply because they are hidden. His timing is intentional. What He has promised does not disappear when it is delayed. There are seasons where growth happens quietly beneath the surface long before we ever see the results.

The mountain in this image has not moved. It remains steady beneath the clouds. In the same way, God remains faithful even when His work feels hidden from view. Waiting is not wasted time. Sometimes waiting is where trust grows deepest.

You may not see the full picture today, but that does not mean God has stopped moving.

His promises are still there, even in the fog.

REFLECTION

What area of your life feels hidden or uncertain right now?

Where have you mistaken waiting for inactivity?

How might God be inviting you to trust His timing more fully?

What would it look like to remain faithful while you wait?

PRAYER

Lord, help me trust You when I cannot see the full picture. When answers feel delayed and the path feels covered, remind me that Your timing is always good. Teach me to wait with patience rather than fear, and with hope rather than frustration. Help me remember that You are always working, even when I cannot see it. Give me peace to trust what You are doing beneath the clouds. Amen.

Not every mountain is meant to be revealed all at once.
