“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.” — Psalm 143:8 (NIV)

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.”

— Psalm 143:8 (NIV)

DEVOTIONAL

Morning has a way of resetting everything. Before the noise of the day begins, there is a moment where things feel still, clear, and full of possibility. It is in that quiet space where God often meets us, not in the rush, but in the stillness.

This verse reminds us that we do not have to carry the weight of the day on our own. Trust changes how we begin. Instead of waking up already behind, already worried, or already trying to control what is ahead, we can start by listening. God’s love is not something we have to chase; it is already there, waiting for us to receive it.

When we begin the day with trust, everything shifts. Decisions feel lighter.

REFLECTION

Where are you trying to control today instead of trusting God?
What would it look like to slow down and listen before moving forward?
How can you intentionally start your next morning differently?

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for meeting me in the quiet moments. Help me to slow down and trust You with this day. When I feel the need to control everything, remind me that You are already ahead of me. Let Your voice guide my thoughts, my decisions, and my steps. Amen.
