“He is not here; he has risen!”
— Luke 24:6 (NIV)
DEVOTIONAL
There is something powerful about watching the first light of morning touch the mountains. After a long night, the landscape slowly begins to glow again, and what was hidden in darkness becomes visible in light. Scenes like this quietly remind you that every sunrise carries the message of hope, renewal, and new beginnings.
That is the beauty found in the resurrection of Christ. When the women arrived at the tomb expecting grief and loss, they instead heard the words that changed everything forever: “He is not here; he has risen.” What once seemed like defeat had become victory. What looked hopeless was filled with life again.
The resurrection is more than a historical event to remember once a year. It is a daily reminder that God brings light into darkness and hope into places that feel empty or broken. Even in seasons where life feels heavy, uncertain, or weary, the risen Christ reminds us that darkness never has the final word.
Looking at the mountains glowing in morning light feels like creation itself reflecting that truth. Night fades. Light returns. Hope rises again.
Because He lives, there is always reason to keep moving forward in faith.
REFLECTION
What areas of your life feel dark or discouraging right now?
How does the resurrection of Christ bring hope into those places?
Where have you seen God bring renewal after a difficult season?
What does it mean to live each day in the hope of the risen Christ?
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for the hope found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. When life feels heavy or uncertain, remind me that darkness never overcomes Your light. Help me live with confidence, peace, and renewed hope, knowing that You are alive and present in every season. Teach me to trust You more deeply and to remember that, because You conquered death, I can face each day with faith rather than fear. Amen.
He is risen, and hope rises with Him.
