“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.”

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.”
— Psalm 125:1 (NIV)

DEVOTIONAL

The mountain stands the same, no matter what surrounds it.

Storms come and go. Fires pass through. Seasons change. Yet it remains—steady, unmoved, and grounded.

There’s something powerful about that kind of stability.

Life doesn’t always feel that way.

Things shift. Plans change. Challenges come without warning. It’s easy to feel unsettled when everything around you seems uncertain.

But God offers something different.

A foundation that doesn’t move.

Trusting Him doesn’t mean life becomes easy—it means you’re no longer standing on something that can give way beneath you.

Like the mountain, your strength doesn’t come from what’s happening around you.

It comes from what you’re rooted in.

When your trust is in Him, you don’t have to be shaken by every change, every setback, or every unknown.

You can stand firm.

Not because of your strength—but because of His.

REFLECTION

What in your life currently feels unstable or uncertain?

Where are you placing your trust—on shifting circumstances or on God?

What would it look like to stand firm, even when things around you are changing?

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for knowing me completely. Even when I feel small or unseen, remind me that You see every part of my life. Help me trust in Your presence, even in the quiet moments. Give me peace in knowing that I am never alone. Amen.

When your foundation is steady, everything else can shift—and you’ll still stand.
